Pursuit Race June 11th
Sailboat owners and Sonar Charterers – how about trying something new – a Friday evening Pursuit Race on June 11th! Each boat gets its own starting time so there is no crowding on the line. Slower boats go first, and the big boats try to catch up rounding government buoys. After the race we socialize with complimentary food and a cash/chit bar at the EYC Sailing Center. NEW this year you can sail with Jib & Main or with a Spinnaker.

Summer Laser Series
The Summer Laser Series has begun and this past Tuesday, June 1st, was a gorgeous night for it! We got in 6 races in about 8-10 knots of breeze on flat water. This allowed for some more tactical racing with a dozen boats that stayed fairly close together as they worked around the windward-leeward course at the mouth of the harbor.
See the Laser Website for more information on how to get involved. You'll also find the Results on their website for the Spring Frostbite Season which just wrapped up.
A Note from Waterfront - Dry Sail Area
In an effort to utilize the Dry Sailing area in the most efficient manner an Ad Hoc committee of members has been formed. Members of the committee are as follows:
Rob Gorman – Chair
Frank McNamara – Secretary
Charlie Pendleton – J/70 Fleet
Patrick Andreasen – Laser Fleet
Seamus Hourihan - Rhode 19 Fleet
Jay Connolly and David Curtis - At-Large
The Committee will submit a written report with diagrams to the Waterfront Committee by July 31st. Your continued support and patience is greatly appreciated.
