Dear Eastern Members,

It is with sadness that we report Preston Tapley Stephenson, Jr. passed away on October 7, 2012 at the Mere Point Nursing Home in Brunswick, ME.  He had been a member of the E.Y.C. since 1952 (#8) and was an active member of the Race Committee in the 1960's/1970's serving as its Chairman 1976/1978.  He is survived by his three sons, Tap of Wenham, MA, Andrew of Ellsworth, ME., and Craig of Richmond, ME. and their respective spouses and children as well as his brother Geo.  He will be missed by all his friends and family.

In his memory, the Eastern Burgee will be flown at half-mast.

A memorial service is being planned at St. Andrews Church in Marblehead later this fall.
