Halloween Team Race 2012
Posted On: October 17, 2012

The third annual EYC Halloween Team Race kicks off from the Eastern docks on Saturday, October 27th. We look forward to welcoming the Boston YC, Bristol YC, Corinthian YC, New York YC, Noroton YC, Seawanhaka, Corinthian YC, Vineyard Haven YC and our own Eastern YC team for a weekend of sailing and Halloween fun.

Join us on the porch.

Spectators are invited down to the club to watch the action. Colin Gordon will return as the color commentator - he'll be up on the porch explaining what is happening on the water. In 2010 and 2011 the winner has been decided on the last leg of the last of over 35 races! Sailing will start around 10:00am and continue through early evening on Saturday and around 3:00pm on Sunday. The Barker Clubroom will be open at 11am on both days - and serving up hot cider cocktails.

Root for the home team.
Megan Watson
is the team captain of the Eastern's Halloween Team Race team. Tomas Hornos, Scott Alexander, Martha Altreuter, Jen Lambertz, Larry Ehrhardt, Matt Hooks, Debbie Noble, Gretchen Curtis, Spencer Powers, Sam Altreuter, and John Boyle will join Megan on the team. Come down to cheer for the home team!

PARTY!
We invite everyone to join us on Saturday night for the Halloween Costume party. Cocktails start at 6:30 followed by a casual buffet dinner. After dinner we'll head to the ballroom to dance the night away. If you'd like to join us for dinner, call the front desk to make a reservation - charge for dinner is $47.50/person. All are welcome to join the party after dinner for no charge (chit bar).

Want to help?
If you are free during the day or in the late afternoon on Sunday and would like to help, the event organizers are looking for volunteers. Email event chair Beanie Eissner (bean30@gmail.com) if you'd like to get involved.
