While the rest of us were sitting by the fire this past winter, Eastern's Rich Wilson was tackling the Southern Ocean with its icebergs, monster seas and hurricane force winds in his Open 60 Class Great American III.  As the oldest competitor and only American in the 30 boat Vendee Globe solo race, he finished 9th place by sailing a smart, conservative race.  Please join fellow members to honor Rich and hear about some of his experiences.  This is expected to be a sell out evening; please reserve tables early.  Jacket and tie required.
