EYC Junior Sailing classes started Monday of this week!  The young EYC junior sailors had their knowledge of everything from rigging to points of sail tested on their first day, and participated in on-the-water activities such as capsizing and swimming to ensure safety of everyone while sailing on the ocean.

Prior to classes on Monday the EYCJS staff hosted their first ever meet and greet session last Friday, June 25, for the parents and kids in the program.  It gave everyone time to meet the instructors, as well as other kids in their class.  Friends were made, games were played, Optis were launched, and lots of pizza was eaten!  The meet and greet helped both kids and the staff make a smooth transition onto the water for the first day of class.

July 16th at 6:00pm is our first float party of the season!  Join us on the dock down at Riverhead for one of the best parties of the summer!  Enjoy a juicy burger while you socialize with friends and watch your kids sail.  If you're feeling daring, even hop in an Opti yourself!

August 20th at 6:00pm is our end of year banquet and awards ceremony!  The banquet will be held separate from the pool this year, most likely on the Pleon docks.  Come and celebrate the end of summer as you say goodbye to your instructors, and eat until your hearts content!
