The Miami Olympic Classes Regatta, the only domestic stop on the ISAF World Cup, concluded two weeks ago. Eastern Yacht Club was well represented at this year's event. Jud Smith qualified for the medal race and finished 10th overall in the Star Class. The field of 29 Stars was one of the most competitive at the event, with five of the top ten and ten of the top twenty world-ranked boats in attendance, including world number one and regatta-winner, Robert Scheidt. Clay Johnson was the top American in the Laser Class, taking fifth overall. Jud's daughter Darby Smith and her match racing team took 16th in the star-studded Women's Match Racing field of 24 the reigning world champion team led by Olympic Gold Medalist Anna Tunnicliffe.
