In 1870, the Eastern Yacht Club was formed when twelve men created an organization dedicated to the promotion of yachting. Over the years, the Eastern has established itself as one of the most distinguished yacht clubs in America. Overlooking Marblehead's breathtaking harbor, the Eastern Yacht Club offers its members and guests a wealth of opportunities to enjoy summer on sea and on land.

The Eastern Clubhouse, located at 47 Foster Street on Marblehead Neck, is home to three dining rooms, a clubroom, a living room, a porch that overlooks the harbor, and several guest rooms. The surrounding property includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, six tennis courts, three paddle tennis courts, the Eastern pier, pier house, gangway and dock.
