Junior Race Week Attracts 400 Sailors
Today marks the final day of racing at this year's Marblehead Junior Race Week. 290 boats and 399 sailors entered this year's JRW! On the 420 and Laser lines, top youth sailors from all over the Northeast are vying for berths at US Sailing's Bemis and Smythe Championships. On the Opti lines, over 80 boats are sailing in Championship Fleet, with another 50 in Green Fleet.

NOOD Regatta Begins Thursday
Over 180 boats are registered for this year's Marblehead Race Week/Nood Regatta. Sailing begins on Thursday with racing in the IOD, Etchells, and Rhodes 19 classes. This year's largest fleet, the laser class with over 40 registered boats, hits the water on Saturday.

Harbor Challenge Format Change
The weekly Marblehead team racing series, Harbor Challenge, will mix things up after Race Week. The captains of the Boston, Cortinthian, Pleon and Eastern Yacht Club teams have agreed to start sailing "mixed teams" each week. Sailors still skipper/crew for sailors from their Club, but each three-boat team will be mixed, with the team captains and EYC Sailing Director creating evenly matched teams each week. As always, a debrief follows sailing in the EYC Sailing Center. You can register here for Harbor Challenge racing on August 4.
