Weekly Tennis Update: August 30th

Congratulations to Maddie James, the winner of the Ladies Club Singles Championships.
Maddie James defeated Alessandra Herman in the finals 6-3, 6-2.

Tennis Event Dates:
August 31st – Monday: 6:00 to 7:30 Men’s Evening Workout
**There will be NO Ladies’ Workout this week**
September 4th – Friday: Ladies Clinics: Beginner Group will play 9:00 – 10:00 and the Intermediate/Advanced Group will play 10:00 – 11:30.
**There will be NO Ladies Clinics on Wednesday this week**
September 6th – Sunday: Men’s Sunday Drop-In
September 6th & 7th – Sunday & Monday: Mixed Club Doubles Championships
September 12th – Saturday: Newhall Cup

Event Details:
       - Men’s Evening Workouts will be offered Monday nights 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.
                          **This is a new time due to the earlier sunsets**
       **There will be NO Ladies Evening Workout this week**
       - Ladies Clinics will be held on Friday morning this week. Beginner Group will play 9:00 – 10:00 and the Intermediate/Advanced Group will play 10:00 – 11:30.
                  **There will be NO Ladies Clinics this Wednesday**
       - Men’s Sunday Doubles Drop – In will be continuing. Come join us 9:30 am – 11:00 am on Sunday mornings for some friendly men’s drop-in doubles.
       - The Mixed Club Doubles will be played Sunday & Monday, September 6th & 7th. Please sign up!

**If you are interested in playing in an EYC Ladies’ or Men’s Match, please contact Linda Guy ([email protected]) for the Ladies’ and Paul Pruett ([email protected]) for the Men’s**

Junior Tennis Challenges:

Back Board Challenge – How many balls can you hit in a row off the back board!? Join this weekly challenge and see if you can set the record! Each week we will have a winner from each age bracket (9 & under, 10 & over). Please sign up in the Pro-Shop!

Ladder Challenge – Sign up to compete in the ladder challenge and see if you can make your way to the top! Challenge fellow players from your age bracket in matches to get to the top of the ladder.
